It was standing room only for Public Service Events' inaugural Advances in Medical Science conference at Central Hall Westminster. Featuring keynote addresses from Government Life Sciences Adviser George Freeman MP and Professor Sir John Tooke, President of the Academy of Medical Sciences, the programme covered a wide range of topics including the recent Life Sciences Strategy and NHS Innovation Review, the importance of patient data, research governance and regulation, and strategies for commercialisation, with a great emphasis on collaboration across the NHS, academia and industry. The event also featured a plethora of interactive masterclass sessions and great networking opportunities in the packed exhibition areas.
