The coalition of the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats undoubtedly signals change, not least to the delivery of public services. With the £153bn budget deficit high on the new government's agenda, and Chancellor George Osborne pledging to cut £6bn of public spending by next April, efficiency savings would appear to be the initial step in a long walk back to financial stability.
Organisations need to be proactive in delivering efficiency savings by eradicating excesses and delivering value for money. Introducing lean thinking and processes can help to reduce the inordinate amount of public sector waste.

'Lean Government: Implementing Change to Create More Value' will brief delegates on the public sector financial environment for the next few years and highlight lean approaches to delivering improved and more efficient services.
