The UK’s transport network lies at the heart of our prosperity as a nation, impacting our economy, our society and our environment. Under increasing pressures on volume of traffic across all modes, environmental considerations and the need for a network that can cater for the needs of every group in society, technology has taken on new importance as a means of improving the way we travel in the UK.
Following the tremendous success of the Public Service Event:
Transport 2007 – ITS Design & Delivery, we are pleased to announce our first ITS Annual Conference. Focusing on the key overall themes in intelligent transport systems,
Intelligent Transport Systems 08 will bring together the key figures in ITS to debate the future political and technological developments that will continue to shape transportation in the UK.
The conference will consider two core themes: ITS as a means of making our transport networks inclusive of the needs of every group in society, and delivering intelligent transport systems at the local level. These are key issues for all involved in ITS, and our plenary sessions, exclusive masterclasses and exhibition area will allow delegates to learn, debate and network.
The evolution of transport networks is a topic that touches on every aspect of life in the UK, from climate change to sustainable development. If you are involved in transport, or are working to integrate transport into another project, this conference will be a must attend!
