Railway Improvement

OVERVIEW

Improvement of the UK’s rail infrastructure is an increasingly topical subject. A recent report suggested that a large percentage of air journeys could otherwise be made by rail. Coupled the position of climate change on the political agenda, the government’s reaction was to unveil a white paper entitled "'Delivering a Sustainable Railway", with the aim of doubling the network’s capacity over the next thirty years.

To answer the many questions posed by the proposals within the paper, Public Service Events are proud to be hosting 'Railway Improvement: Britain on Track' on 21st May 2008.
