Infection Control 2 08

OVERVIEW

Following the tremendous success of this February’s Infection Control – Building a Culture of Patient Safety event, we are pleased to announce a second instalment of the Infection Control series for 2008. Hosted again at the Barbican, London, Infection Control – Achieving Control in the Community will take a look at the issue of HCAIs outside of the hospital environment.

The latest statistics indicate that we may be turning a corner in infection control within hospitals, with better adherence to hand-washing rules, ‘deep clean’ schemes, better monitoring and better isolation procedures making a substantial impact on infection rates. But what about infection control in the wider community?
