PUBLIC SERVICE EVENTS - TESTIMONIALS
Feedback from some of our recent events includes:
Project & Programme Management 2009 was the second PSCA event at which we have exhibited and we were very pleased and impressed with both the programme and the quality of organisation. The event was very well attended and the combined exhibition and catering layout made it easy for us to meet with the delegates, many of whom were new to the DSDM Agile concept. Overall an excellent day of great value to all.
- Mary Henson, Chief Executive, DSDM Consortium on Project and Programme Management.
I attended the very interesting and informative conference at the Barbican last week. I was wondering if the presentation slides from the speakers could be made available to the delegates, please?
- Martyn Fletcher, Strategic Construction Support Manager on Powering Towards 2020.
I felt the plenary sessions were generally very good, as good as anything I've been to of this nature in recent times.
- Tim Griffiths, Environment Agency on Outsourcing.
An excellent understanding of the implications of the government direction on outsourcing and shared services.
- Delegate on Outsourcing.
I thought the conference today was very useful and well organised. Speakers were very good and I’d hope that next year we’d be able to have a more significant presence.
- Geoff Llewellyn, Wipro Technologies on Outsourcing.
I think that events like [Infection Control Scotland] are really, really important, because they provide an opportunity to bring a range of professionals together and they also provide the opportunity for those professionals to exchange good practice, to discuss and exchange ideas and hopefully to leave at the end of the day with an even better sense of how collectively we go about facing up to the challenge we here to discuss today
- Nicola Sturgeon, Deputy First Minister, Scottish Government on Infection Control.
I would like to thank you and all at Public Service for a fine event at the Barbican Centre yesterday.
There were certainly some very interesting speakers during the day, but what this did highlight was the fact that attitude on procurement need to be changed in order to promote sustainability within the Public Sector.
I was very impressed with the opinions of Dr Rachel Mason-Jones and the work that she is conducting in association with the University of Glamorgan.
It was a very worthwhile day which also provided me with plenty of information and ideas to pass on to my colleagues here at Bournemouth Borough Council.
Thank you again for an excellent event.
- Paul Sired, Technical Officer (Building Control) Planning & Transport, Bournmouth Borough Council on Greening the Supply Chain.
Just a quick note to say thank you for the event yesterday. Although I was unable to attend in person, the feedback that I have had from the team is excellent.
Many thanks for keeping us updated at every stage in terms of organising all the bits of copy, the advert and generally juggling deadlines to suit our own busy schedules.
We had good attendance to both the event and the Masterclass with a good number of strong enquiries that we will pursue hopefully into business opportunities
- Christian Payne, Head of Marketing, Minorplanet on Transport Infrastructure.
Many thanks for the invite to this. I thoroughly enjoyed the day, learnt quite a bit, made new friends, met old ones I had not seen for some time, and left feeling generally better informed and even inspired to carry on the important work of taking out the messages we want people to understand.
- Robin Harper MSP, Scottish Green Party on Sustainable Development.
As always the Public Service event held yesterday at the Barbican Centre was excellent.
The one theme running through the whole day was the importance in promoting and encouraging changes in people’s behaviours towards affecting a positive approach to combating climate change and sustainability.
The suggestions put forward at the morning and afternoon forums certainly left me with a lot of ideas to take back to my place of work. I think Winsome, in the afternoon session, summed it up in one word….’engagement’……which is so important.
Thank you again for a brilliant day.
- Paul Sired, Technical Support Officer, Planning & Transport, Bournemouth Borough Council on Sustainable Development.
Good networking. Chance to talk about experiences with officers. Chance to see new technology available.
- Delegate on Modernising Policing.
I wasn't expecting to learn anything new; I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the presentations - it was definitely worth the time.
- Mark Coulthwaite, Shepway District Council on Transformational Government.
I just want to thank you very much indeed for such a fantastically organised event. You thought of absolutely everything to ensure all ran smoothly. It makes all the difference for all concerned. I cannot praise you enough for your organisational skills and ability.

Please pass on my congrats re the Barbican event on Wednesday.
I thought it was very well run and staffed.
The speakers were good, it all ran smoothly and was the right intensity of input to networking breaks.
And amazing to have it for free- makes a big difference with our budgets being tight and having quite a train fare to cover.
Many thanks!
