Optima Investment Management ( Europe) Limited, authorised and regulated by the FSA, is a subsidiary of Optima Fund Management LLC ("Optima"). Optima is a private investment firm specializing in hedge fund investments. The firm was founded in 1988 by its managing member, D. Dixon Boardman, to manage assets for high net worth individuals and family offices. Today, with firm assets under management exceeding $5.6 billion, institutional investors account for 70% of the asset base. Optima provide services to institutions and individuals by managing or advising on portfolios of hedge fund investments. The firm now has seven funds-of-funds as well as several custom tailored institutional separate account portfolios. The flagship fund has a 17 year track record. In 2000 the firm formed a strategic alliance with Mellon Financial Corp. which holds a 15% interest in the firm.
