 Dr Chakra V Gupta, President and CEO of PolyChem Alloy, Inc., brings 30 year's experience in leading and developing high performance plastic products. Several new, inter-alia, anti-microbial products and processes have been independently developed by Dr Gupta that has led to new technology transfer into production. Some of the products have received international recognition due to environmental and health implications, (eg. copper and heavy metal-free anti-microbial additives in the medical and food packaging). He has a broad knowledge of healthcare industries around the globe utilising anti-microbial additives (namely medical, food packaging, adhesive laminates and composites).
Dr Gupta has more than 20 technical publications and several patents in the emerging fields of anti-microbials. He has written chapters in many manuals and journals, and lectured at national and international levels. He has been a guest speaker for several technical societies and has received an outstanding achievement award for developing a new product for a Fortune 500 company. As a member of the Board of Directors in several companies, Dr Gupta has been involved in strategic planning and has benefited from the profitability of some of the major companies.
