Steve Troop, Group Head, Retirement Business, HSBC Insurance

Steve joined HSBC in 1979 from Cambridge University and has worked extensively in the Middle East, Asia Pacific and South America: assignments have included retail and branch management, head office planning roles, trade finance and institutional relationship management. 

More recently, in Brazil, Steve ran the nation’s fifth largest insurance company and later, the consolidated national operations for HSBC. Steve’s last assignment prior to his current role was as Deputy Chief Executive for HSBC in Turkey. In his current role, Steve focuses upon the worldwide growth and expansion of our customer retirement propositions. In addition, he is also Deputy Head of the Group’s insurance interests.
