The UK public sector spends over £150bn per year on goods & services. In early 2007 the Government committed to using the influence of this huge budget to encourage sustainable development across the UK, along with making the processes of government more sustainable. 2007 was identified as a period for the sustainable procurement agenda to become embedded, with progress to date to be reported on by Sir Gus O’Donnell in 2008.| Event supported by: |
