Environmental pressures have forced green policies to the forefront of government operations in recent years, however with continued action required by every citizen and corporate body to prevent ecological catastrophe in the future are public bodies doing enough? Travel and transport when including the movement of people, services and goods to and from work constitutes a large proportion of the environmental impact we have on our planet. With this in mind Public Service Events will host Green Travel & Transport 2008, with the aim of identifying ways in which all public organisations use their influence to encourage their own staff and the general public to take up greener, smarter transport options.
