PSCA International was proud to host this year's PFI Expo and Dinner at Arsenal's magnificent Emirates Stadium, drawing the biggest names from the sector for a day of insight and analysis of the latest developments in private finance, and an evening of fine food, wine and entertainment.

PFI Expo
Partnership was the key theme of the day in our plenary sessions, with speakers including Andy Carty, Chief Operating Officer of Partnerships UK, and David Finlay, Director of PFI Development at the National Audit Office underlining the critical importance of building the perception of, and frameworks for, partnership in successfully delivering PFI projects. By the end of the day, there was real consensus – the capacity of both public and private sectors for partnership working needs to be strengthened if PFI is to deliver to its full potential. Suggestions were made as to how this could be effected, with the role of integrators coming under particular scrutiny, both in our speeches and case studies.

Delegates also enjoyed the range of workshops on offer, with packed sessions on subjects as diverse as excellence in street lighting PFI projects and PFI bid management. In addition, our exhibition offered delegates the opportunity to network and discuss their skills and services in relaxed and comfortable surroundings.

PFI Dinner
After a long day of debate, it was time to relax, and our annual PFI Dinner proved once again to be a highpoint of the PFI year. Dinner and drinks were accompanied by live, 1940’s and 50’s swing and r&b music from The Executives, and jocular speeches from David Allaby, Editor of Public Servant and Charles Kennedy MP, former leader of the Liberal Democrats. Much was imbibed, contacts were made and a great time was had by all.
