| Rydon Construction wins PFI on Newton Abbot Community Hospital |
|
Rydon Construction, of the Rydon Group, is to undertake construction work valued at £19.5m as part of the £27m PFI redevelopment of Newton Abbot Community Hospital. The Group's healthcare development company, Ryhurst, has the overall contract.
The project is the first major PFI contract since Rydon Group's management buy out earlier this year.
The new two-storey hospital will replace existing Victorian and Edwardian buildings. Work is expected to begin early in 2007 and complete in September 2008.
The Rydon Group's property maintenance division is to operate a 30-year maintenance contract for the site. |
